Further to my announcement of a neurodivergence improvement programme on 6 July 2022, to address urgent need and prevent delay which would be created by additional consultation, the programme commenced immediately. We have ensured continuing stakeholder engagement, holding a series of public events on our plans across Wales in November 2022, and a report of the findings was published on 3 February 2023.
We are delivering the improvements needed by working in partnership with people with lived experience. We have established a Ministerial Advisory Group and three workstreams to focus on the most pressing issues and a clinical advisory group. We have also established a wider stakeholder group, to make sure everyone has the opportunity to contribute their views and the first meeting is on 15th March.
I will shortly be making a statement to update Members on the progress already achieved.
