Driver training, testing and vocational licencing is not devolved to Wales, therefore Welsh Government’s ability to intervene in this area is limited. Officials continue to work closely and proactively on a range of supportive measures with the bus industry in Wales to attract and retain bus drivers, as well as working with other government bodies across the UK to address the situation longer term.
