As of October 2021 and the most recent estimates for the level of fuel poverty in Wales, 54,900 single pensioner (no children) households and 41,200 married couple pensioner (no children) households were estimated to be in fuel poverty. Other kinds of households in fuel poverty may also contain pensioners but this level of detail is not available. Please note the price cap has increased from £1,277 in October 2021 to £2,500 in September 2022. Revised fuel poverty estimates will be made available in due course.
