Pa asesiad mae'r Gweinidog wedi'i wneud o ostyngiad parhaus yn nifer y bobl sy'n manteisio ar Helpu i Brynu Cymru?

Help to Buy Wales has made an important contribution in supporting people who would like to own a new build home but require assistance to do so. Since its inception in January 2014 more than 13,400 homes have been delivered through the scheme. Which is why I announced in December, my intention to extend our current Help to Buy Wales scheme from April 2023.

Between April 2021 and September 2022 1,418 homes were delivered through the scheme. The schemes performance and take up, along with the needs of potential homeowners and the support the scheme provides to the industry, were carefully assessed when developing the extension to the scheme.

I have asked my officials to commission research into the future needs of home buyers, and the place of Help to Buy Wales in those future needs. The research findings, which will be available in the summer, will be used to underpin future planning around Welsh Government support for people wishing to buy a home.
