During my exchange with the Qatari Ambassador to the UK, I again referenced the matters raised in my letter to him of 9 November, condemning the points made by a Qatari World Cup ambassador about LGBTQ+ rights and seeking assurance that these were not the views of the Qatari government. I also raised the issue of labour rights and set out the Welsh Government’s approach to engaging with Qatar on these matters.
