We fund Community Energy Wales, its developer organisation YnNi Teg and the Welsh Government Energy Service, which all provide support for community energy organisations.
The funding and services have supported communities to establish projects such as Charge Up Wales, which successfully bid for Lottery funding to establish a Wales wide network of community EV clubs. We previously funded the Energy Local approach, recently in the news for its impact in reducing people's bills, both to develop the original model and to roll it out across communities. Feedback from community organisations confirms the flexibility of our mix of technical support and funding enables communities to progress the priorities important to them.
