I regularly meet with stakeholders on a number of issues that cut across this area, especially regarding the sustainable future of farming, which we are developing to support farmers in recognition of the role they play in sustainable food production and in responding to the climate and nature emergencies.
In addition, we provide a range of business advice and support to farmers through Business Wales and Farming Connect, which includes advice on energy efficiency and renewable energy generation.
According to our most recent Energy Generation in Wales report there are 793 renewable energy projects on farms and estates with an estimated 23 megawatts of electricity capacity and 123 megawatts of heat capacity.
