The Welsh Building Safety Fund was launched on the 30 September 2021. It is open to Responsible Persons of medium and high-rise residential buildings to submit an Expression of Interest to the Welsh Building Safety Fund.
To date, this approach has resulted in 261 Expressions of Interest, all of which have received a digital survey. As a result of this work, 163 buildings have been identified that require intrusive survey work, which is ongoing.
The Welsh Building Safety Fund remains open for Expressions of Interest, and I would like to use this opportunity to once again urge Responsible Persons to engage with this process, which is the starting point for accessing Welsh Government support.
If any leaseholder is concerned that their Responsible Person has not submitted an Expression of Interest, I would urge them to contact my officials at welshbuildingsafetyfund@gov.wales.
