As autonomous institutions, universities are responsible for the courses they deliver. There are a range of postgraduate courses aligned to statistics available at Welsh universities, including Operational Research and Applied Statistics, Data Science, Mathematics, and Statistics for Computational Biology.
Wales offers a progressive package of grants and loans, including a universal base grant, to students from all backgrounds to undertake postgraduate master’s study. The total support available for a full time or part time student starting a postgraduate master’s course in 2022/23 academic year is £18,430 (for the duration of the course), as a mixture of grant and loan depending on household income. Student support rates are increased each year in line with longstanding policy.
