As the member will be aware, building safety forms part of the Co-operation Agreement.

Our Leaseholder Support Scheme is aimed at leaseholders in severe financial hardship due to the escalating costs associated with fire safety issues.

To be eligible to apply for the Leaseholder Support Scheme you must: 

  • be the owner of a leasehold property in a residential building in Wales which is 11 meters and over in height and where there are potential or identified issues with fire safety.
  • be an owner-occupier or a displaced resident
  • be in significant financial hardship as a result of fire safety issues (using the Social Metrics Commissions definition of significant financial hardship and the Office for National Statistics measurement for poverty).
