Children who are on the child protection register are also included in the Children Receiving Care and Support Census data collection. However, this collection only includes those children who have a care and support plan at 31 March where the plan has been in place for at least three months. From the Children Receiving Care and Support Census, those children who were on the child protection register at 31 March who were not looked after can be identified by the Child Protection Register cohort within the data. Those children who are on the child protection register who were looked after are included in the Looked After cohort.
