The Welsh Government has worked closely with the UK Government and other Devolved Governments on the coordination and promotion of plans to mark the Platinum Jubilee.

A Wales Platinum Jubilee Working Group was established in September 2021 with representatives from key organisations (such as the WLGA, One Voice Wales and the National Lottery Community Fund in Wales) and partners (such as the Armed Services and Lord Lieutenants and the Senedd) to help raise awareness and cascade information on how communities across Wales could participate in events and projects, as well as lottery funding streams to help provide financial support.

The Welsh Government has funded the Platinum Jubilee medals for eligible recipients from the devolved emergency services in Wales and led a debate  in the Senedd on 24 May.

During the Platinum Jubilee Bank Holiday Weekend, the First Minister will be present at the Royal Gun Salute due to take place in Cardiff on 2 June,  will attend the National Service of Thanksgiving at St Paul’s Cathedral on 3 June and the Jubilee Concert on the 4 June.

Information on events and on how organisations and communities can get involved can be found at the Platinum Jubilee website The Queen's Platinum Jubilee 2022
