Pa gyllid fydd ar gael i atal y gylfinir rhag diflannu, o gofio mai dim ond chwe wythnos sydd cyn dechrau tymor bridio'r gylfinir, a mai 10 mlynedd sydd ar ôl nes iddo ddiflannu?

Welsh Government currently funds activity to stop the extinction of curlew through match funding for the RSPB LIFE curlew project (administered by Natural Resources Wales) and a range of habitat restoration projects submitted by members of Gyflinir Cymru.

My officials are reviewing the recently launched Wales Action Plan for the recovery of curlew by Gylfinir Cymru to identify further funding opportunities from 2022 onwards.

We are developing a multi-year Nature Networks programme to create resilient ecological networks, which will help critically endangered and threatened species, such as the curlew.

Longer term, the Sustainable Farming Scheme will be an important mechanism and source of funding to address habitat loss and species decline, including some of our iconic farmland birds such as the curlew. Representations from the Gylfinir Cymru Partnership will be considered by the Minister for Rural Affairs, North Wales and Trefnydd as the Sustainable Farming Scheme is developed.
