Welsh Government welcomes The Migraine Trust’s report ‘Dismissed for too long’ and is working with the Neurological Conditions Implementation Group (NCIG) and health boards to review the report recommendations.
We recognise the debilitating effects of migraine and are committed to working with the NHS to improve diagnosis, treatment and access to specialist care. We are also committed to improving awareness and understanding of migraine among the public and healthcare professionals.
The NCIG is currently developing a quality statement for all neurological conditions including migraine. Quality statements set out what good looks like for high quality, patient focused services and set out our vision for particular clinical services for the Parliamentary Term.
