A total number of 6,500 ash trees have been managed, either by felling or through arboricultural works by Natural Resources Wales on the Welsh Government Woodland Estate as a result of ash dieback since 2020.

Due to the change in how the disease has been managed on the Welsh Government Woodland Estate it is difficult to give exact figures divided into the timeframes you requested.

In 2020 NRW undertook a large tree health survey across the whole of the Welsh Government Woodland Estate which identified over 5,300km of public roads, forest tracks and footpaths containing ash. The survey has recorded a further 20,500 trees which require safety works to-date.
