The Welsh Government has made unprecedented levels of funding available to support Welsh businesses through the pandemic, including through the unique Economic Resilience Fund (ERF) and the non-domestic rates (NDR) linked grants. To date we have provided more than £2.6bn in financial support which has safeguarded thousands of jobs. We have committed hundreds of millions more than provided through consequential from the UK Government to help businesses fighting to survive the pandemic.

In addition to the grants that were made available, the travel industry will benefit from the £380m business rates relief package announced on 3 March, which provides retail, leisure and hospitality businesses with rateable values up to £500k, and charities in Wales with a straightforward year-long business rates holiday.

Our Covid-19 grant schemes are now closed. However, our Business Wales Service can provide individuals and businesses with access to a range of information, guidance and support. In the coming weeks I will also be announcing a number of initiatives to support businesses.

Alternative funding can be accessed through the Development Bank of Wales with loan and equity funding available immediately to Welsh businesses https://developmentbank.wales/.

I would also encourage any business affected to contact the Business Wales Helpline who can explore any support options available to them.  The helpline is available between 10am and 4pm (Monday to Friday) and is closed on Public Holidays.  The team can be reached by calling 03000 6 03000 or by visiting https://businesswales.gov.wales/contact-us
