Welsh Government is fully committed to supporting the sector and understands the real and current issues. The British Beer and Pub Association and the Welsh Drinks Cluster, together with other stakeholders such as UKHospitality Cymru, are members of the Wales Hospitality Stakeholders Group and have fed in their concerns and been consulted on changes to restrictions throughout the pandemic.

Since April 2020, the Welsh Government has provided more than £2.6bn to support Welsh businesses, in a package that has been designed to complement and build on the support provided by the UK Government.

We have provided all businesses in the retail, leisure and hospitality sectors with a rateable value of up to £500k with a business rates holiday until April 2022.

We are also continuing to support businesses through, amongst other things, our Economic Futures Fund, the Foundational Economy fund, our SMART Innovation programmes and the Development Bank of Wales, all alongside the support and advice of Business Wales.

Any business requiring support is encouraged to visit the Business Wales website https://businesswales.gov.wales or contact the Business Wales helpline on 03000 6 03000. The Business Wales Helpline is available Monday to Friday from 10am to 4pm.
