Information on the number and location of wild boar in Wales is limited. Welsh Government officials are therefore working with Natural Resources Wales to close this evidence gap and are considering ways to determine the number and extent of wild boar in Wales. Once we have gathered the relevant data we will consider the necessary actions needed to control any potential spread of this former native species. Consequently, at this stage there is no immediate plan to publish a feral wild boar management action plan for Wales.
