Pa brosesau a dangosyddion perfformiad allweddol sydd ar waith i sicrhau bod prosiect Cyflymu Cymru yn cyflawni ar gyfer pobl Brycheiniog a Sir Faesyfed?
The UK Government has primary responsibility for broadband policy but we continue to step in where the market and UK Government have failed to act. Our Digital Strategy for Wales outlines how we will continue to use the levers at our disposal to support businesses, homes and the public sector in Wales to receive the connectivity they need. The roll out of broadband services under Superfast Cymru project ceased in 2018. We are, however, rolling out full fibre broadband to 39,000 premises across Wales. To date, 20,000 connections have been made and work to deliver the remaining 19,000 continues.
The implementation plan which includes rollout across Brecon and Radnorshire was agreed at the start of the contract and is monitored and discussed at monthly Programme Board meetings. Openreach must provide evidence it has met its quarterly targets in order to claim funding. Due diligence is carried out on the evidence submitted by Openreach, by Welsh Government officials and independently through an appointed consultancy resource.
