The Statement of Public Participation was consulted on and published at the commencement of the preparation of Future Wales. This set out how the Welsh Government would involve people in the development of Future Wales and ensured people were aware how and when to engage in its preparation. Future Wales was prepared in accordance with this Statement.
The programme of engagement and consultation undertaken to support the preparation of Future Wales was broad and comprehensive. An Engagement Plan listing the consultation and engagement events has been published.
Public consultation is a statutory requirement of any future planning application for Developments of National Significance within the Pre-Assessed Areas.
