Play Wales undertook a review of the 2019 PSAs on behalf of the Welsh Government.  The key findings were set out in the State of Play 2019 report:

Play Wales is already working with the local authorities in preparation for the next full Play Sufficiency Assessment (PSA) and yearly Action Plan, which are due in 2022. In recognition of the additional burdens on local authorities as a result of the Coronavirus pandemic, I extended the submission deadline for these assessments from 31 March 2022 until 30 June 2022. We are looking at the arrangements for PSAs as part of the Ministerial Review of Play.  The review, which was briefly paused last year in light of the pandemic, is focussed around five themes including a specific theme on the Play Sufficiency Duty.
