A wnaiff y Gweinidog roi'r wybodaeth ddiweddaraf am y gwaith y mae Llywodraeth Cymru yn ei wneud i hyrwyddo datblygiad safleoedd tir llwyd yng Nghymru, ac a yw Llywodraeth Cymru yn ystyried cyflwyno cofrestr tir llwyd?
National planning policy contained in Planning Policy Wales (PPW) explicitly states that brownfield sites should, wherever possible, be used in preference to greenfield sites where it is suitable for development. When preparing development plans, local planning authorities should work with landowners and other stakeholders to ensure that suitably located brownfield sites can be brought forward and developed in a coherent way.
Rather than requiring the provision of a separate brownfield register, PPW requires an integrated approach which incentivises the use of brownfield land as part of a strategic approach to placemaking. This enables the specific interventions necessary for delivery by both the public and private sector to be identified in a transparent and comprehensive manner.
