Ensuring that all our communities in Wales know how to access support is a priority for me. We are taking a range of approaches including through public awareness messaging and improving the information available on health board websites. We also work closely with the third sector to ensure information about mental health and mental health services is shared widely.
We have invested in easy-to-access support –online and via the telephone – some of which is available 24/7. The roll-out of online cognitive behavioural therapy in Wales was based on a successful pilot by Powys Teaching Health Board, which includes some of our most rural communities in Wales.
Other sources of support, such as, FarmWell Wales, which is an online information hub, part-funded by the Welsh Government EU Transition Fund, is available to farmers throughout Wales. This provides farmers with the most up-to-date information and details of support services available. These resources are actively promoted by stakeholders who have provided positive feedback about the initiative.
