Pa asesiad y mae Llywodraeth Cymru wedi'i wneud o'r lefelau presennol o fwyd môr a gaiff ei lanio ym mhorthladdoedd Cymru ac a wnaiff Llywodraeth Cymru ystyried gosod targed uchelgeisiol unwaith y bydd Cymru'n gadael Polisi Pysgodfeydd Cyffredin yr UE?

Seafood landings are monitored and assessed by mainly statutory means requiring declarations by industry. Other non-statutory collection of landings data completes the picture across Welsh ports.

Future landings into Welsh ports will be dependent on many factors, as they are today. One major factor will be the outcome of the ongoing Fisheries Framework Agreement negotiations between the UK and EU as a result of the UK leaving the CFP. The UK position is for a greater share of quotas of fish around the UK and I anticipate a Welsh share of any increase. Until the negotiations conclude the precise effects on Welsh seafood landings are difficult to predict.
