Pa ystyriaeth y mae Llywodraeth Cymru wedi'i rhoi i'r hap-dreial wedi'i reoli yn Ysbyty Prifysgol Reina Sofía yn Córdoba, Sbaen, a ganfu fod cleifion COVID-19 a gafodd eu trin gyda 25-hydroxyvitamin D wedi cael canlyniadau llawer gwell na chleifion COVID-19 eraill?

The Welsh Government has issued guidance about the use of vitamin D treatment and dietary supplements in response to the pandemic:

On 29 June 2020 the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence issued a rapid evidence summary on the use of vitamin D as a treatment for COVID-19, which stated: “There is no evidence to support taking vitamin D supplements to specifically prevent or treat COVID-19.” The statement can be found at:

The study referred to involved a small cohort of patients and the comparator treatment involved a non-recommended therapy. The outcome from this study therefore does not affect the treatment pathway for COVID-19 in Wales.
