The Superfast Cymru project has already invested some £5.3 million to provide circa 20,000 premises across Monmouthshire with access to superfast broadband, access that simply would not have been available if left to normal commercial operations.
Further Welsh Government roll-out continues across the region with an additional circa 2100 premises receiving access to full-fibre connectivity over the coming year under our second phase of intervention.
For those premises not covered under our fixed line intervention, we also continue to offer a range of measures to help premises gain access to fast broadband including our Access Broadband Cymru scheme, the Local Broadband Fund and our Welsh Top-up of the UK Government’s Rural Gigabit Connectivity programme.
