A wnaiff y Gweinidog ddarparu datganiad ar gynnydd y Gweithgor Cymorth Profedigaeth ers ei ddiweddariad ysgrifenedig ar 22 Gorffennaf 2019, yn esbonio sut y bydd y grŵp yn cynyddu mynediad i therapïau seicolegol ar gyfer rhieni sydd wedi cael profedigaeth?

As outlined in my written statement, Welsh Government commissioned, through the End of Life Care Board, Cardiff University to undertake a study to identify and gather information on structured bereavement services available in Wales.

The final report is due to be published the end of October, and the content and recommendations will be considered at the next meetings of the End of Life Care Board and the Bereavement Support Working Group.

The function of the Bereavement Support Working Group is to work with Welsh Government to develop and deliver improved arrangements to support families who suffer the loss of a child or young person up to age 25, taking account of existing standards, and guidance. The independent research will inform the work of the Group going forward to help ensure health boards have suitable Bereavement arrangements in place to support those people who need them.
