Pam y mae Llywodraeth Cymru yn mynd ar drywydd gwaharddiad wedi'i amseru ar gerbydau araf sy'n defnyddio'r A55 pan nad oes llwybrau dichonadwy eraill rhwng y dwyrain a'r gorllewin ar hyd arfordir gogledd Cymru, ac egluro a fyddai gweithredu tynfeydd penodol mewn cilfannau i gerbydau arafach yn ddewis dichonadwy arall?
My officials are currently investigating whether there is a need to prohibit slow moving vehicles on the A55, in its entirety or on part lengths, this is because slow moving vehicles have been involved in serious collisions on the A55 and can also cause flow breakdown.
I disagree there are no other feasible routes, there are a few lengths where alternatives are limited and these will be taken into account. We also feel laybys would not decrease the safety risks that these vehicles bring to high speed roads.
