Swansea County Council are leading on this project in partnership with Carmarthenshire County Council, Neath Port Talbot County Borough Council and Pembrokeshire County Council. Consultants AECOM have been appointed to develop the South West Wales Metro concept and relevant stakeholders and interested parties have been involved. We are awaiting a report on that initial work from Swansea. I have allocated a further £700,000 to Swansea County Council in 2018-19 to ensure the business case work can continue without delay.
