It is unclear from your questions whether you are seeking CAMHS data relating to Local Primary Mental Health Support Services (LPMHSS) where we have targets which measure referral to assessment and assessment to treatment but which do not distinguish between urgent and routine referrals. Or specialist CAMHS where we have asked health boards to action urgent referrals for assessment within 48 hours and routine within 28 days, but do not distinguish between assessment and treatment functions.
If the former we currently publish data which is age blind and have only been able to disaggregate between ages since April 2015. The attached tables provide the under 18 compliance against the referral to assessment and assessment to treatment targets since April 2015 to date. Whilst performance is variable, the LPMHSS target is currently all ages. We are currently working with health boards to examine the robustness of the under 18 data. We are also commissioning the NHS Delivery Unit to undertake a piece of work to examine CAMHS primary care performance to help inform activity.
If you are referring to the latter our target relates to referral to first face to face appointment, as depending on the individual assessment may require several appointments and the collection of information from a variety of sources such as GPs, family and school, before a comprehensive assessment can be made and the young person can progress to treatment. We do not currently collect data relating to urgent referrals. Routine referrals against our 28 day target are reported on StatsWales against the child and adolescent psychiatry treatment function. This information can be found by following the attached link which can be interrogated by month and by individual health board.
