Public Health Wales is responsible for funding screening programmes in Wales from its core allocation.

Funding for the last three years is set out below. The gradual reduction in funding is due to programme changes which came into effect in September 2013 which raised the initial invitation age to 25 and extended the screening interval for women aged between 50 and 64 from 3 to 5 years. These changes were made in accordance with UK National Screening Committee recommendations.
