Work to develop the policy that underpins the Children not in School provisions in the Children's Wellbeing and Schools Act 2026 has begun and will continue to be undertaken over the next year. All guidance underpinning the provisions will be subject to public consultation prior to the making of and bringing into force of the regulations.
