Pa asesiad y mae Llywodraeth Cymru wedi’i wneud o p'un a yw’r fframwaith deddfwriaethol presennol, y trefniadau llywodraethu a’r trefniadau rhannu data yn ddigonol i gefnogi’r gwaith o ddarparu un cofnod iechyd a gofal cymdeithasol digidol cynhwysfawr ledled Cymru, ac a yw’n rhagweld y bydd angen deddfwriaeth bellach?
Working with NHS Wales, the Welsh Government is committed to improving the sharing of information across health and social care through programmes such as Connecting Care.
A core component of the programme is the Integrated Care Record (ICR), which will bring together health and care information into a single digital view. This will support more efficient and secure access to relevant patient information, informed clinical decision-making, and a more joined-up, person-centred health and care system.
This work is underpinned by existing legislation, information governance requirements, and data-sharing frameworks. Consideration of the legislative framework, governance arrangements, and data-sharing requirements necessary to support delivery across Wales is embedded within the ongoing development of the programme.
