We fund the fire and rescue service to provide free advice and fire safety equipment to households at particular risk of fire.  This is one reason why dwelling fires have fallen close to an all-time low.

The Welsh Government is taking a collaborative approach to ensure AI technologies benefit people, communities, and businesses in Wales. We are supporting the workforce partnership council to assess impacts on our public sector workforce as well as conducting a review into the potential benefits of AI on our wider economy.

Our long-term national care service plans recognise the value of social care in Wales and the importance of having a vibrant and thriving social care system. The National Office for Care and Support, in collaboration, will work through a citizen forum to achieve more equitable access and enhanced service-user experience.

Initial teacher education recruitment into the primary sector continues to be buoyant. However, recruitment into secondary remains challenging, with strong competition from other sectors for the small numbers of graduates with STEM specialities, compounded by even smaller numbers with Welsh language capability.
