Cwestiynau ar gyfer - Ysgrifennydd y Cabinet dros Ogledd Cymru a Thrafnidiaeth

OQ61137 Wedi’i gyflwyno ar 15/05/2024

A wnaiff yr Ysgrifennydd Cabinet ddatganiad am wella diogelwch ar y ffyrdd yn y canolbarth?

The principal objective of our 20 mph policy is to save lives and reduce casualties on our roads. We are funding local authorities to deliver cycle training, child pedestrian training and motorcycle training. Our national transport delivery plan includes a range of schemes to improve road safety on the strategic road network in mid Wales. We are updating our guidance on speed limits on roads affecting communities to be consistent with the clarified guidance on 20 mph. We anticipate this work will be completed next spring and guidance for speed limits on rural roads between communities will follow. Following the release of the new guidance, Welsh Government will then review the speed limits across our trunk road network and make any changes in a consistent way.
