The Welsh Government has a close partnership with the Welsh police. A key part of this is that I meet regularly with the lead police and crime commissioner to discuss a range of issues that impact on community safety.

This Welsh Government is committed to continuing to provide and build up on support and services for veterans in north Wales. This includes peer mentoring support, mental health first-aid training and funding to alleviate loneliness and social isolation. I welcomed the ELGC committee report 'Benefits in Wales: options for better delivery'. I will continue to follow up the committee’s recommendations to improve take-up of welfare benefits and to improve outcomes for people hardest hit by the pandemic.
