Penodi Cadeirydd dros dro
Appointment of temporary Chair

Croeso. Welcome to this meeting of the Equality and Social Justice Committee. We've received apologies from the Chair for today's meeting and, therefore, Sarah Murphy has been nominated, under Standing Order 17.22, to temporarily chair today's meeting. Does any Member object? No. In which case, I shall hand over to Sarah Murphy.

Penodwyd Sarah Murphy yn Gadeirydd dros dro.

Sarah Murphy was appointed temporary Chair.

1. Cyflwyniad, ymddiheuriadau, dirprwyon a datgan buddiannau
1. Introductions, apologies, substitutions and declarations of interest

Bore da. Good morning. Welcome to the Equality and Social Justice Committee meeting. It is being broadcast live on Senedd.tv, with simultaneous translation from Welsh to English. Apart from the notable apologies from our Chair, Jenny Rathbone, I have not received any others.

2. Papurau i'w nodi
2. Papers to note

So, to start with item 2, the papers to note, there are seven papers to note this week. Are there any Members who would like to comment on them, or are Members happy to note the papers? Sioned Williams.

Diolch, Cadeirydd. Ar y papur gan Sarah Rees o Oxfam Cymru ynglŷn â rhoi tystiolaeth i'n hymchwiliad ni ar ofal plant, byddwn i'n cefnogi'r hyn mae hi wedi'i nodi yn y llythyr. Fe wnes i noddi'r sesiwn galw heibio y mae hi'n cyfeirio ato gyda Mothers Matter, a dwi'n cytuno y byddai'r hyn y byddai hi'n gallu cyflwyno fel tystiolaeth ar ran grwpiau fel Mothers Matter yn werthfawr iawn i'n hymchwiliad ni. Felly, os yw'r amserlen yn caniatáu, byddwn i'n dymuno gweld bod modd iddyn nhw roi tystiolaeth lafar.

Hefyd, wedyn, ar y llythyr sy'n ymwneud ag allgáu digidol, byddwn i'n cytuno bod efallai angen i ni roi pwyslais cryfach ar hynny yn ein hadroddiad ni ar y gyllideb ddrafft, rwy'n gwybod y byddwn ni'n ei thrafod maes o law, so gallaf i godi hynny bryd hynny.

Thank you, Chair. On the paper from Sarah Rees from Oxfam Cymru with regard to providing evidence to our inquiry on childcare, I would like to support what she has noted in the letter. I sponsored the drop-in session that she refers to with Mothers Matter, and I agree that what she could provide as evidence on behalf of groups such as Mothers Matter would be very beneficial to our inquiry. So, if the timetable does allow, I would suggest that we could bring them in for oral evidence.

And then, also, on the letter with regard to digital exclusion, I would agree that perhaps we need to put more emphasis to that in our report on the draft budget, and I know that we will be discussing that later on, so I can raise that then.

Thank you very much, Sioned. Is everyone happy, then, to note the seven papers? Wonderful. Thank you very much.

3. Cynnig o dan Reolau Sefydlog 17.42(vi) a (ix) i wahardd y cyhoedd o weddill y cyfarfod
