1. Cyflwyniad, ymddiheuriadau, dirprwyon a datgan buddiannau
1. Introductions, apologies, substitutions and declarations of interest

Prynhawn da. Blwyddyn newydd dda.

Good afternoon. Happy new year.

I'd like to welcome Members and members of the public to the first session of the Equality and Social Justice Committee of 2022. This meeting is being broadcast live and there is simultaneous translation available. Are there any declarations of interest?

2. Papurau i'w nodi
2. Papers to note

If there are none, then I just want to ask Members to note the correspondence we've had from, I think, five or six Chairs over the last months—Chairs of other committees; the Chair of the Finance Committee, the legislation committee, the public accounts committee, the health committee—as well as important correspondence with the chair of policing in Wales and from the Chair of the public accounts committee, who has an interest in our session, our inquiry, into fuel poverty that we're going to be starting a bit later this year. And lastly, we've had correspondence from Dominic Raab MP, in his capacity as Lord Chancellor and Secretary of State for Justice, offering a meeting with him and Lord Wolfson to discuss reforms to the Human Rights Act 1998. Can we note all those papers? Obviously, if you wish to raise any matter while we're in public session, that's absolutely fine. Otherwise, we can discuss it in private session.

3. Cynnig o dan Reol Sefydlog 17.42 (iv) a (ix) i benderfynu gwahardd y cyhoedd o weddill y cyfarfod
3. Motion under SO17.42 (iv) and (ix) to exclude the public from the remainder of the meeting

Cynnig:

bod y pwyllgor yn penderfynu gwahardd y cyhoedd o weddill y cyfarfod yn unol â Rheol Sefydlog 17.42(iv) ac (ix).

Motion:

that the committee resolves to exclude the public from the remainder of the meeting in accordance with Standing Order 17.42(iv) and (ix).

Cynigiwyd y cynnig.

Motion moved.

I'm unable to see you all at the moment, because of technical problems, but I'm assuming nobody wishes to raise anything in public session, so I wondered if I could ask for your agreement for us to exclude the public from the remainder of today's meeting.

Derbyniwyd y cynnig.

Daeth rhan gyhoeddus y cyfarfod i ben am 13:38.

Motion agreed.

The public part of the meeting ended at 13:38.
