Cofnodir y trafodion yn yr iaith y llefarwyd hwy ynddi yn y pwyllgor. Yn ogystal, cynhwysir trawsgrifiad o’r cyfieithu ar y pryd. Lle mae cyfranwyr wedi darparu cywiriadau i’w tystiolaeth, nodir y rheini yn y trawsgrifiad.

The proceedings are reported in the language in which they were spoken in the committee. In addition, a transcription of the simultaneous interpretation is included. Where contributors have supplied corrections to their evidence, these are noted in the transcript.

Cyfarfu’r pwyllgor yn y Senedd a thrwy gynhadledd fideo.

Dechreuodd y cyfarfod am 09:30.

The committee met in the Senedd and by video-conference.

The meeting began at 09:30.

1. Cyflwyniad, ymddiheuriadau, dirprwyon a datgan buddiannau
1. Introductions, apologies, substitutions and declarations of interest

Croeso i gyfarfod y Pwyllgor Plant, Pobl Ifanc ac Addysg heddiw.

Welcome to this meeting of the Children, Young People, and Education Committee.

Welcome to today's meeting of the Children, Young People, and Education Committee. The public items of this meeting are being broadcast live on Senedd.tv, with some participants joining via video-conference.

Just to say that this meeting is bilingual and simultaneous translation from Welsh to English is available. We've had no apologies for today. Are there any declarations of interest from Members? No. I can see there are no declarations.

2. Papurau i’w nodi
2. Papers to note

The first item of the agenda is papers to note. The full details of the papers are set out on the agenda and in the meeting papers. There are a number of papers to note today.

Just to highlight a couple of those papers to note: paper to note No. 6 is a letter from the Minister for Health and Social Services. It provides some information about the cost of hospital-based and some community-based health services for children, following our request for more clarity over spending on children during our draft budget scrutiny.

Papers 7 to 11 provide additional information from some of the witnesses we took evidence from on 24 March, where we were unable to cover all of our areas of questioning during the meeting itself.

Paper 12 is a letter from the Chair of the Finance Committee, updating us on the committee's plans for the 2023-24 draft budget engagement.

And papers 15 to 19 are letters from me as Chair on behalf of the committee, including letters to follow up on issues we discussed during our recent forward work planning discussion.

Are Members content to note those papers?

3. Cynnig o dan Reol Sefydlog 17.42(ix) i benderfynu gwahardd y cyhoedd o weddill y cyfarfod
3. Motion under Standing Order 17.42(ix) to resolve to exclude the public from the remainder of the meeting

Cynnig:

bod y pwyllgor yn penderfynu gwahardd y cyhoedd o weddill y cyfarfod yn unol â Rheol Sefydlog 17.42(ix).

Motion:

that the committee resolves to exclude the public from the remainder of the meeting in accordance with Standing Order 17.42(ix).

Cynigiwyd y cynnig.

Motion moved.

So, in that case, we'll move on to the next part, which is that I propose in accordance with Standing Order 17.42 that the committee resolves to meet in private for the remainder of the meeting. Are Members content? I see that Members are content, so we will now proceed to private session.

Derbyniwyd y cynnig.

Daeth rhan gyhoeddus y cyfarfod i ben am 09:32.

Motion agreed.

The public part of the meeting ended at 09:32.
